These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Continual Designs website and the purchase of products from us. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. About Us

Continual Designs ("we", "us", "our") designs and produces made‑to‑order wooden plaques and engraved products, including custom map plaques, from our workshop in the UK.

2. Products & Made‑to‑Order Items

All Continual Designs products are made to order unless stated otherwise. Many of our items are customised or personalised, including engraved text, routes, maps, or designs supplied or approved by you.

Because of the natural characteristics of solid wood, each piece will vary slightly in grain, tone, and appearance. These variations are part of the product’s character and are not considered defects.

Product images on our website are for illustrative purposes. While we make every effort to represent colours and finishes accurately, your final product may differ slightly from what you see on screen.

3. Custom Designs & Customer Approval

For custom or personalised products:

• You are responsible for ensuring that all text, spelling, dates, coordinates, routes, and other details you provide are correct.
• Where a proof or design preview is provided, it is your responsibility to review and approve it carefully before production.
• Once approval is given or production has started, changes may not be possible.

Continual Designs is not responsible for errors that appear in the final product if they were present in the information or approval provided by you.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are shown in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. Orders will not enter production until payment has been received.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but this will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

5. Production Times

As our products are made to order, production times vary depending on the item and current workload. Any estimated production or dispatch times provided are estimates only and not guaranteed.

We will always aim to complete and dispatch your order as promptly as possible.

6. Shipping & Delivery

We ship within the UK and internationally where available. Shipping options, costs, and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout.

Once your order has been dispatched, delivery times are the responsibility of the courier. Continual Designs cannot be held responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our control.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery.

7. Returns & Cancellations

Non‑Custom Items

For non‑custom, non‑personalised items, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the item, in accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. Items must be returned unused and in their original condition. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Custom & Personalised Items

Custom or personalised items are exempt from the standard right to cancellation and return, unless the item is faulty or not as described.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including clear photographs of the issue. We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer a repair, replacement, or refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All designs, images, text, and content on the Continual Designs website are the intellectual property of Continual Designs and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.

If you provide your own designs, logos, or reference materials, you confirm that you have the legal right to use them and that they do not infringe the rights of any third party.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Continual Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our products or website.

Our total liability for any claim related to an order shall not exceed the total amount paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Care & Use

Our products are intended for decorative use unless stated otherwise. Natural wood products should be kept away from excessive moisture, heat, or direct sunlight to maintain their appearance over time.

11. Website Use

You agree not to misuse our website, interfere with its operation, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the website if these terms are breached.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your order will apply.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Customer-Supplied Items & Engraving Services

From time to time, Continual Designs may agree to engrave or work on items supplied by the customer.

By providing your own items for engraving or modification, you acknowledge and agree that:

Natural variations in material, existing finishes, coatings, or previous treatments may affect the engraving result.

We cannot guarantee identical results to those achieved on our own standard materials.

There is an inherent risk of spoilage, marking, or damage during machine setup, testing, or engraving.

While every reasonable care will be taken in handling and engraving customer-supplied items, Continual Designs accepts no liability for:

Minor surface marking or test impressions required for setup.

Loss or damage arising from material defects, hidden flaws, coatings, laminates, or construction issues within the supplied item.

A limited number of items that may be lost or rendered unusable during initial setup or calibration, where this risk has been communicated in advance.

Where possible, we may recommend that additional spare items are supplied to allow for testing and setup.

Our liability for customer-supplied items shall in any event be limited to the replacement cost of the blank item itself, and shall not extend to consequential losses or resale value.
